I got a cowhide rug from icowhide.com a few months back, my first gut feeling was that it looked well made. It’s been getting walked on every day and it’s still holding up nicely. The edges haven’t curled or frayed, and I haven’t noticed any weird shedding either. I’m taking off one star because the shipping was slower than I expected, but overall it seems like a good buy.

I got my cowhide rug last month, i feel a little misled by how it was described online. That said, one good thing is it barely sheds at all. I give it a quick vacuum and it still looks nice, so at least that part has been easy to deal with.

I ordered a medium, which is what I usually get in most shirts and jackets, and it fit about how I expected. I was trying it on right after work, so I didn’t spend a ton of time overthinking it, but the only thing I noticed was that the arms felt maybe a tiny bit snug. Not uncomfortable or anything, just slightly tighter than the rest. The size guide was helpful enough, and overall I’m happy with it. Taking off one star since the fit wasn’t absolutely perfect.

I was excited to unbox this, but the second I opened it, the cowhide had this really strong awful smell. I figured maybe it was just from being packaged up, you know, sometimes stuff needs a little time to breathe. I left it out to air for a few days, kept checking on it every so often, and somehow it still smells bad. Kind of disappointing because I wanted to use it right away, but the odor is hard to ignore.

The site looks kind of messy to me, and it doesn’t really give off a very trustworthy vibe.

The leather is nice and thick, and it definitely feels sturdy in hand. It’s a bit stiff at first, but that makes it seem like it’ll hold up well. Anyway, love that part. Just hoping it softens up a little with use

I really liked the cowhide pattern I received because it looks a bit different from the usual ones, in a good way. It wasn’t exactly the same as the picture, but it still looks really nice. I can’t say how they handle every situation, but in my case support replied quickly and helped sort out my question without much hassle.

I was actually happy with how soft the hide feels, it has this nice texture to it that makes it feel good in your hands and just overall seems nicer than I expected.

I ordered from icowhide.com and the shipping was a lot slower than I expected. The tracking didn’t move for days, so I had no idea if the package was actually on its way or just stuck somewhere. I did reach out to support, and they basically said something like, “It’s still in transit and the tracking should update soon,” but that didn’t really make the wait any less frustrating. The item did finally show up, which was a relief, but the whole shipping process was annoying. Not the best experience overall.
